Employee self-service
A service model that lets employees find approved HR information or complete permitted routine tasks directly, while personal, exceptional, or sensitive cases stay with authorized systems and HR teams.
Business example
An employee asks how the parental-leave process works, receives the current policy with its source, and follows the approved form. A question about their personal eligibility is routed to HR instead of being guessed.
How it works
- 1.Separate reusable policy answers from personal-record actions and confidential cases.
- 2.Publish or connect current approved sources with named owners, audiences, and review dates.
- 3.Apply permissions so each employee can retrieve only the knowledge intended for their role or group.
- 4.Return the policy source with the answer and provide a clear HR route when a transaction or judgement is required.
- 5.Review failed questions, feedback, and repeat contacts to improve the owning policy or escalation path.
